A gite up to date...
In a hamlet, on the edge of the Burgundy Franche-Comté City of Character, which is Gy, you can enjoy, between woods and a small natural pond, a 110 square meter stone house, including the workshop and the cheeseger’s accommodation recently renovated.
The accommodation with a flea market style decoration but with all the mod cons of the day, highlights my grandmother’s old dairy. It is a 3-stars labeled gîte.
This independent single-storey house includes a large open living room with dining room, lounge and fitted kitchen, 3 bedrooms : 2 each with a double bed and a bedroom with 2 single beds that can be twinned, a bathroom with XXL shower and separate WC. Wifi. The beds are made for the arrival.
A get out into the contryside, with barnyard, orchard, vegetable garden… Enjoy this stopover in La Charmotte, a place with an industrial history, where holidaymakers, cyclists, pilgrims, workers, from all over the world, come together for a stop among the flowers of the park, and the animals, and this for more than 40 years, with rare moments, rich in real encounters…
Guided tours of the garden and sharing of plants and productions according to the seasons.

This former dairy, built on maturing cellars, also provides a patio on the old quay, facing the hundred-year-old plane trees and a pergola with a view of the park and the pond, at sunrise. Private car park. Ping pong table, volleyball, football table and swings.
At the doorstep of rich Cities of Characters...
Gy, its former wine-growing town and its castle, which can be visited, are close to other Cités de Caractère, such as Bucey-Les-Gy and Fondremand, Pesmes, Marnay, and Gray (Museum of Fine Arts, Museum, etc.), and give discover in the close surroundings, both a circuit of wash houses, farmers, crafts, and also a magnificent garden, Acorus, « labeled remarkable » in Autoreille (6 km). Take advantage of a break offered to hikers by the Monts de Gy: depending on the season, discovery of wild orchids, lily of the valley, observation of deer roar, search for mushrooms… while waitin, taht the cycle of nature starts again!
Ideal place for lovers of hiking in all forms with the nearby Monts de Gy.
Do not forget binoculars and camera, to observe the many raptors going from the wood to the pond, and the hares which frolic towards the wood.
